Effective Physical
Activity and Nutrition
Programming
The Maine
Physical Activity and
Nutrition Program and
the Maine Nutrition
Network, in
collaboration with their
partners, are pleased to
announce this unique
opportunity. These
four skill-building
sessions will address
evidence-based nutrition
and physical activity
promotion strategies and
will be useful to
individuals and
organizations working in
the community, school,
worksite and healthcare
settings from the local
and/or state levels.
CEUs will be available
for Registered
Dieticians, for CHES
credit, and for general
attendance.
Maximum benefit will be
achieved for individuals
who attend all four
training sessions,
therefore a significant
discount will be given
to individuals attending
all four sessions when

preparedness conference
aimed at addressing the
needs of diverse
populations. The
goal of the conference
is to provide
participants with tools
that can be used to plan
for the needs of
special, at-risk and
vulnerable populations
during an emergency.

emergency preparedness
for diverse populations;
emergency sheltering;
ethical principals of
emergency management
concerning diverse
populations; risk
communication; and GIS
and database systems in
emergency planning for
