Maine Diabetes Health System Strategic Plan

Purpose/Goals:

The Center recently completed a project which resulted in the creation of a Diabetes Health System Strategic Plan. This intensive process, conducted in close collaboration with the Maine Diabetes Prevention and Control Program, involved key diabetes stakeholders around the state. The plan covers the scope of the diabetes issue in Maine, explains its pertinence to current health reform efforts and lays out one and five year goals. The DPCP will be coordinating efforts to implement the plan, including its linkages with integrated approaches to chronic disease prevention.
