This is a flow chart that
describes the liability scheme under Section 504 of the Homeland Security
Act. It is included here for two purposes:
1.It illustrates the role of state law in determining liability,
damages, and remedies; and
2.It is an example of the resources and guidance that the CDC provides
to health care providers and public health workers, regarding the smallpox
vaccination program.
