Cities and towns need to have some stock of the drugs and
equipment that will be needed immediately in the event of an emergency, such
as MARK 1 kits. As we’ve previously
discussed, you can get anything you need from the federal government, but it
usually takes a few days. Therefore,
local jurisdictions must have their own stockpile of supplies to bridge the
time between the event and when federal relief will arrive.
